We broke our long tradition of taking the steam train up to Corfe Castle on the Saturday to create a "happening" after a cream tea in the National Trust cafe (or a pint in The Greyhound).  This became necessary as the weekend co-incided with the Swanage Railways Steam Gala, and the new management were reluctant to offer us the customary discounted fares.  Perhaps we'll include this next year as many of us enjoyed this excursion.  Instead, those that were fit enough, joined the procession along Shore Road.
