Mike Garrett RIP

It is with great sadness that we commemorate the unexpected death of Mike Garrett on 16th May 2025.

Mike was one of the longest-serving members of OBJ, having joined as a dancer in 2002.  Mike was a gentle person and last appeared with OBJ just 3 days before he died.

Mike said he was "less athletic" than he was 23 years ago, and when we suggested he might take on the job of teaching our newbie members, he was very pleased to take on the challenging and rewarding task.  I know he enjoyed it and the newbies were very happy with his patient, gentle manner.

We later dedicated a dance to Mike, at  The Bell, Aldworth

We will all miss Mike.
