I had hoped that the line would be re-opened between
Medstead&Four Marks and Alton by the end of July, but this
has been delayed due to difficulties with the bridge replacement
in Alton.
As it turned out, there was quite enough railway for our
purposes
This is newly-overhauled S15-class No 506, looking splendid on a
goods train.

BR Standard Class 4 No 76017 has just run around it's train

Wrekin Havoc comes to an end.
No 76017 was built at Horwich Works - can't be all that far from
the origin of this dance

Somewhere en-route, we engaged in a bit of train dancing
This carriage has more space than the usual brake van
|
This one is a bit more cramped.
We managed to equal the record for the number of people squeezed
into the carriages on the miniature railway (19)

 |
 |
Ann and Claudia seemed to find this amusing.
It's used by the chaps who overhaul the small trucks under the
front and rear of locomotives.
|
Thomas was at home - back from one of his jaunts to far-away
places.
He goes to Denmark, Belgium and even the Isle of Wight.

|
 |
Ann took this one too - don't know why she was tittering.

Karen on the bridge that once led to Platform 9 3/4 at Kings
Cross, where the Hogwarts Express departed.
It is a listed building and has been moved to Ropley. |

Not sure quite where we were - maybe on the miniature railway
