We kicked off promply at 11:15 - not much sign of the other
sides due to share the spot
Karen and Eddie in the foreground
The dance is our warm-up dance - Dilwyn
Eddie, Pegeen and Ian are nearest
Dilwyn continues
This is The Alvechurch Smithy
Tony, Karen, Sarah and Ian are on this side
Some of the band: I can see Chris, Helen, Pegeen, Ali, Clare,
Joe, Philip, Colin Mark and Vera
Possibly Philips debut performance on the melodeon
Jess plays the tambourine
Much Gridlock near the town hall
Now, which dance ends like this?
This is a double set of Hay-on-Wye
Same dance, after the inside-out figure
Then we moved down to Denmark Street
This is Brimfield
And I think this is Witchmens Thistle
Not sure about this one!
The woman on the right was attempting to insert herself and her
pushchair into the set
The sun sets early this time of year - in direct line with
Denmark Street
Not easy to dance when you can't see the person in front of you!
Brimfield again
Tony is facing the setting sun
We were joined by Ian from the Reading Scottish pipe and drum
band
And Mark had been playing the bodhran all day
We tried to recruit Ian!
Colin, Chris D, Chris, Scottish-Ian, Ali, Vera, Nikki and Mark
A double set of Tide with Borderline
This is a mixed-up triple set on Worcestershire Monkey with
Borderline - some of whom knew how to do it!
Karen is calling the dance
More Worcestershire Monkey, with a certain amount of milling
about at the other end
We joined the procession and the end of Rose Street.
This involved a fair bit of waiting around as some of the floats
had difficulty negotiating corners
I wonder if any pictures will turn up showing OBJ in the
procession - probably the first one in at least 5 years!
