OBJ Morris - 2005 Scrapbook

Severn Valley Weekend
18-19th June 2005

We spent the weekend with Wicket Brood in the delightful town of Bewdley on the River Severn.

We spent the Saturday dancing at various locations on the Severn Valley Railway, much to the delight of the several steam railway enthusiasts amongst us.

On the Sunday, we danced in Bewdley town centre, then at a family gathering hosted by Dave Y's mum.

Wicket Brood provided genial company for the weekend and in return we taught them The Witchmens Thistle, which was performed several times.

The Bewdley Rowing Club provided camping facilities, and hosted a very pleasant music session on the Friday evening and a ceilidh on the Saturday.

Present on the day were: Anne, Chris, Colin, Dave Y, Doug, Ian, Jenny, Jill, Linda, MikeS, Nikki, Pam, Susie and Tiffany

So far, no pictures have come to light of the delightful town of Bewdley, nor of the dancing on the Saturday. I'll add them if and when they materialise.

Doug tried to start a new dance team and enjoyed some level of success.

Their lines were better than most morris teams, but they couldn't get the stepping right. Well, what do you expect when they all have two left feet.
